Another great match to watch between two Latin American countries: Brazil and Colombia. With two of the youngest superstars on each side (Neymar, Brazil and James, Colombia), the match was already brimming with intensity before it started. Brazil opened up an early lead in the 7th minute when Silva scored at the far post off a corner-kick. The second half saw a brilliant freekick goal by David Luiz (69′). In the 80th minute a penalty was awarded to Colombia and James scored giving Colombia a glimmer of hope to tie the match. The Brazilians would hold on to the next 10 minutes allowing them the victory and defeating Colombia (2-1). Brazil go on to face Germany in the semifinals.
